My Wellness Plan for Year 37
Simple, achievable habits to fuel me through this busy chapter of life.
I turned 37 on January 31, and something about this birthday made me hyper-aware of how much my wellness habits impact how I feel. Over the years, my approach to health has evolved — especially since I started my career in plastic surgery and dermatology, which ignited my passion for skin health and overall well-being.
Now, with three kids, a growing business and a very full life, I’m not interested in making wellness feel like another task on my to-do list. Instead, I’m focusing on small, meaningful habits that are realistic, sustainable and truly make a difference.
This isn’t about perfection — it’s about consistency. Here’s how I’m prioritizing my health and well-being in my 37th year:

1. Nutrition
Protein has always been a focus for me, but lately, I’ve been more intentional about it. My goal is at least 30g per meal — working toward 1g per pound of body weight daily. It’s not always easy, but I feel so much better when I hit it.
Lately, I’ve been using Promix Chocolate Protein for smoothies. Protein powder isn’t new to me, but I’ve stuck with this one for over six months because I love the blendability. Plus, I know the founder, and I always feel more connected to a brand when I trust the people behind it.
Beyond protein, I’m making an effort to eat more colorful, veggie-filled meals — roasting vegetables with most dinners and getting creative so my kids enjoy them too (send me your best tricks!).
Supplements I’m prioritizing:
Perelel Mom Multi Support Pack: This covers so much: postnatal support, stress, beauty, and omega DHA + EPA. It also includes 50 mcg (2,000 IU) of vitamin D daily, which is on the higher end of the recommended dose — and I love that. I live a pretty healthy lifestyle, but I still feel like I get sick more often than I should, so prioritizing vitamin D feels important. I met the founder at an event in Nashville a few years ago, and I love everything she stands for. The formulations are really well thought out.
Collagen: I’ve been on and off with it, but I’m back in a routine. I add unflavored collagen to my smoothies — it’s an easy habit to keep up. I’ve used Vital Proteins, just ordered Thorne’s collagen, and I’m also interested in trying Promix’s blend.
Electrolytes: I know electrolytes are controversial, but I started with Liquid IV years ago and loved how it helped with energy and headaches. I switched to LMNT, and now I’m trying Promix Electrolytes. The Salted Watermelon flavor is so good!
Magnesium: I get this through my electrolyte blends and Perelel Multi Support Pack, but I also love Perelel’s Sleep Support. It’s a honey lemon powder I mix into hot water at night — such a good wind-down ritual.
2. Movement
I want to feel strong, energized and balanced — not burned out. My goal is realistic consistency rather than intensity.
Yoga Sculpt: Twice a week for strength and mindfulness
Weightlifting: Twice a week to build muscle and feel strong
Walking: Two times a week — either outdoors or on an incline treadmill for a low-impact reset
3. Skin Health
Skincare has always been a priority for me, but this year I’m especially focused on experiencing the full range of services we offer at Skin Pharm. I’m so proud of the intentional and curated menu of treatments we’ve created, and I want to fully lean into what we recommend to patients. Here’s my plan:
Now: Photofacial and fractional laser to treat my face, neck and chest.
Early Spring: Chemical peel to treat my face, neck and chest.
Summer: Neuromodulators — targeting the upper face lightly, then focusing on the lower face and neck (relaxing muscles that pull the mouth downward, easing jawline tension for a sharper look, and treating traps to relieve tension).
Fall: Skinvive to lips for hydration and microneedling with PRP for a collagen boost and texture improvement.
End of year: Another photofacial and fractional laser or chemical peel, plus a Gold Infusion during event season!
At home, I’ll stay diligent with my routine: cleansing morning and evening, using vitamin C and SPF daily (non-negotiable), and cycling treatment products like our vitamin A (Night Watch), Clarifying Pads and Clay Time.
You really can achieve great results with consistency! I also want to be diligent about applying products to my décolletage and hands as well.
4. Sleep
Sleep is non-negotiable for me, so this year I’m focusing on optimizing it further:
Room temperature: Keeping it between 65-68°F for deeper sleep.
Wind-down routine: Dimming lights, disconnecting from screens and giving myself at least 30 minutes to relax before bed.
Consistent schedule: Prioritizing the same bedtime and wake-up time, even when life is hectic.
5. Mindset
This year, I’m being intentional about my energy — where it goes and who I share it with.
No complaining: Keeping my focus on gratitude and problem-solving.
Positive company: Surrounding myself with people who lift others up rather than tearing them (or themselves) down.
Phone boundaries: I’m trying the “landline” trick — picking a charging spot for my phone and leaving it there when I’m home. I’m hoping this will help me be more present with my family and less caught up in mindless scrolling.
This shift is about creating more space for joy and clarity in my life. By the way, wellness for me has never been about perfection — it’s about showing up in ways that feel meaningful. This year, I’m focusing on consistency, balance and embracing a wellness plan that works in the midst of a full life. Here’s to feeling better than ever at 37.
Let me know what you’re focusing on this year — I’d love to hear what health and wellness edits you’re making to your life!
