3 Things I Loved in March
I actually love winter. I don’t mind the shorter days, and there’s something comforting about the hibernation mode that comes with it. But then spring rolls around, and suddenly I’m like — oh, maybe I was a little sad? Anyone else?
The longer days and fresh energy have me embracing little shifts that make all the difference. Here are a few things I’ve been loving this month:
1. Your Calendar is a Reflection of Your Priorities
Something I’ve been thinking about lately is how our calendars don’t just track our time, they reveal what we truly prioritize. It’s easy to say that family, rest, or personal growth matter, but if they aren’t actually on the calendar, they often get pushed aside.
Lately, I’ve been more intentional about scheduling the things that are important to me — whether it’s family dinners, evening walks or focused time for creative work. Instead of letting my calendar fill up reactively, I’ve started treating it as a tool to design the life I want to live. Because at the end of the day, what’s on the schedule is what gets done.
It’s a small shift, but it has made a big impact!
2. Indoor Wreaths: A Cozy Touch for Every Season
I’ve been obsessed with indoor wreaths lately. I had a winter-style wreath hanging over my kitchen sink window during the holidays and I loved it so much that I swapped it out for a spring wreath. There’s something so special about bringing a little seasonal touch indoors, especially when it’s something that’s easy to change.
I grabbed mine at Target — it’s sold out now, but I love that it’s simple, neutral, and something I won’t get tired of since I see it every day.
Now I can’t imagine not having a wreath in that spot year-round. It’s become a cozy ritual for me and I’ll definitely be switching it out with the seasons. There’s something about the freshness and warmth it adds to my space that makes me feel grounded and happy.
3. Mindset Shift: The "I Get To" Mentality
Lately, I’ve been trying to make a simple but powerful shift in my mindset: moving from “I have to” to “I get to.” Instead of feeling burdened by all the things on my to-do list, I’m reminding myself how fortunate I am to be able to do them. Whether it’s running a business, spending time with my kids or managing the daily routines, I’m shifting my perspective to focus on the privilege of these opportunities.
I’ve even noticed that I’m drawn to people who have this same mentality. Of course, I love depth and real conversations, but I just don’t have the energy for people who always play the victim or seem permanently stuck in a negative loop. Life’s too short to spend it around bad attitudes.
It’s a subtle change, but it’s been incredibly uplifting. Reframing tasks as things I “get to” do has made me feel more energized and grateful — even on the busiest of days.

That said, life is moving at lightning speed, and I definitely catch myself in a spiral from time to time. But when I can focus on these practices most of the time, they help keep me grounded and aligned with what truly matters.
I’d love to hear what little changes or practices are making a difference in your life this month. Feel free to share!
